Who We Are

After a childhood of building things, I studied Art & Design and Photography at A-level.  My art project was a custom made surfboard built from scratch.  In photography I enjoyed using analog film cameras, processing my own films and hand printing photos in the dark room.

I started my own custom surfboard shaping and repairing business in my teens. This led to a season working on Damien Hirst’s formaldehyde tanks doing fine finishing work to exacting standards.

I started my building and carpentry career working alongside and learning from experienced multi trade professionals, including my dad.  After 15 years I have experience in nearly every area of construction and seem to pick up new skills very quickly. My strengths are problem solving, creative design, good communication and fine detail.

I currently enjoy working on projects with my brother Jacob who is a highly skilled joiner and carpenter.

I am very invested in good design, architecture, correct historic restoration and modern new builds and renovations. I also love to bring ecological building skills in to the mix.

I have two children and love taking them bike riding and surfing.

One of my proudest seasons was working with the Wave Project to support local children. We were awarded ‘Surf volunteer of the year’ at the UK Surf Awards and The Prime Minister's Points of Light award for our work.  But the biggest reward was seeing lots of positive progress in the children we had the pleasure to work with!
